Photography is a very tricky and magical medium. I have never thought of myself as a model but I do love revisiting the medium in order to play with illusion. More often than not, I feel humbled and self-critical of shots taken when I believed I was looking 'my best' - not because of any reason other than seeing what 'doing my best' looks like over just being real and allowing the camera to capture the truth... On great days, when the photographer and I are truly present with each other the end result is a photo that looks exactly how it felt, and that right there is the stuff of gold. The truth then morphs in the eye of the beholder. All that to say, I enjoyed myself that day and liked the results. Here's me & Rosie Mae working with John Ball on one of our many creatives.
