Today is Dwayne Morgan's birthday! I've had the pleasure of knowing this man for over a decade and honestly, I'm not even sure how we met. One day I was performing at his poetry slam and then he performed in a few of my Love Letters Cabaret shows and throughout the years, we just kept supporting each other's work. Dwayne is known as 'The Godfather' of Canadian Spoken Word poetry. He is a recognized artist, speaker, teacher, producer, and a source of inspiration to many people. To top it off he's a photographer and we've shots together a bunch, which I'll share over time. He generously shares his talent, skills, and time and I've never seen him in any state other than chill. He's patient and kind and I wish him the best new beginning around the sun.
