Sitting on a Convertible pushed by Nelly Furtado

It's so good to see Nelly Furtado on tour again. When I met her, like a fairy, she popped into my life, showed me a magic I'd never even heard of, and taught me A LOT about the entertainment industry and life on the road. Around the time we shot this video, we had been on the road for about a year or a year and a half. I could check my diaries but I'm comfortably sitting on my balcony under the sun, so you're getting an approximate time frame. I feel as though it was about that long. Regardless, We had been promoting the Loose record all over Europe and had recently landed in the US to tour for the first time. One morning in Detroit, I think I got a letter under my hotel room door that we were set to shoot a video that day. I put on my face and joined in silly fun that took us around the city. Everyone who took part was touring. One scene that didn't make it to video had us riding on pimpy low-rider bikes - bicycles not motorcycles on the streets at night. There are no photos to prove it.

One day I'll share how we met, and perhaps some of the magical lessons I learned along the way, but first I'll have to tell you about the band... We'll get there.

Director Aaron A & Nelly Furtado

Dancers Natalie Reznick & Pastel Supernova

other chicas: singer Jasmine Bowen, wardrobe assistant Boozecan Cathy (a loving joke name she approved of) , Fritz Helder, Saukratese & Nelly -obvi. Julia, the makeup artist was behind the scenes with management and the tech crew

I ran with a short Bettie Boop/Le Petit Prince do for a few years, and I had a great time... Maybe I'll do it again if I meet the right hair artist. Thoughts?
