Here's a poem I wrote a few wears ago
One Half
One-half a bed hides
Under bOoks. Clothes...
Like leaves on a lawn
One-half a sheet set
Lives unruffled.
Time without you is long
One-half a broke heart
Avoids life
And you being gone
I wrote One Half a few years before I took these selfies in a hotel in Calgary. I was visiting for a week to shoot my scene on A Teacher. It was a nice visit. I took myself out to beautiful dinners, caught a burlesque show, and got silly taking photos around my suite. The reason for the poetry/strip-scene pairing is because when I wrote that poem I felt about as broken-hearted as the lead character in that scene.
Spoiler Alert: Here's that scene, playing Karen the stripper. Quelle surprise
